LETTERING STYLES

     There are a few things to consider with lettering. Color of granite, type of engraving, and font choice. In the image viewer you can see the many examples of lettering style. Below is a reference to the styles.

V-sunk letters

V- sunk letters in a panel (an area where the polish has been removed) are the easiest to read and work well on all granite colors.

Polished edge

Polished edge letters are created by leaving a polished edge around a v-sunk letter in a panel this work well on darker granites.

Frosted outlined

Frosted outlined letters are created by frosting the letter and blasting a deep line around the frosted surface. This works best on dark granites.

Skin cut

Skin cut letters can only be produced on certain dark granites. Created by removing the polish.
